Frequently asked questions

How do I book, and how does the price compare to Airbnb or Vrbo?

You send your dates from this site and we confirm they are free, usually within a few hours. Then we email you a secure Stripe payment link. A 50% deposit confirms your dates, and the balance is due 30 days before check-in. Booking within 30 days of arrival is paid in full at the time of booking. Booking direct means no booking-site guest service fee (often 12–15%) is added to your total. Nightly rates move around on both sides, so if price is what decides it, compare the all-in total for your dates and book wherever it lands better. We are glad to have you either way.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Both cabins have self check-in, and we send door codes and directions a couple of days before you arrive.

Where exactly are the cabins?

Both cabins are in the Groom Creek pines, about six miles south of downtown Prescott, quiet, deeply wooded, and minutes from the lakes and trails. For your privacy and security, the exact address and door code are shared right after you book.

Can I bring a pet?

Both cabins are strictly pet-free (and smoke-free) so they stay comfortable for every guest, including those with allergies. Please don't bring pets; a cleaning fee applies if the policy isn't followed.

Is there a minimum stay?

Most dates have a 2-night minimum. Holidays and special-event weekends (like the World’s Oldest Rodeo) may require a longer stay. The live calendar will always show the exact rules for your dates.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Life happens. Cancel 14+ days before check-in for a full refund (less any payment-processing fee), 7–13 days for 50%, and within 7 days the booking is non-refundable. The same terms are on the payment link we send you, and on the terms page.

Is there fast Wi-Fi for remote work?

Yes, both cabins have reliable, fast Wi-Fi, so you can take a meeting in the morning and hit the trail in the afternoon.

How far is Prescott from Phoenix?

About a 1.5–2 hour drive north of Phoenix and Sky Harbor airport, close enough for a weekend, high enough (our cabins sit around 6,400 ft) to leave the desert heat behind.

The longer questions have their own pages: which month to come, what the roads do in winter, which part of Prescott to stay in, and how the hot-tub cabins around here compare, how to get here, and what the whole trip costs.

Still have a question?

Need a specific date range, a longer stay, or help choosing between the cabins? Write or call, we are happy to help.
